Juniper essential oil (Juniperi aetheroleum) – Juniperus oxycedrus L., Cupressaceae

Juniper essential oil was obtained by steam distillation of needles and ripe berries of juniper (sea juniper or pine). It is an excellent diuretic, tonic and antiseptic of the urogenital tract. Due to its diuretic effect, it is often added to preparations for the treatment of edema and cellulite. It promotes relaxation and relieves the symptoms of nervousness and irritability.
